# Check water shutoff valve

If you have a water shutoff valve on your driveway it's important to check that it's not sticking up otherwise our machines may clip them and remove them.

To address this you can:

- Call the City of Ottawa at 613-555-0123 to have them come out and lower the head
- If the City of Ottawa is unable to help you can: 
    - put a block of wood on top of the head and hit it with a hammer yourself
    - Send an e-mail to <blah@blah.com> to have one of our team members come by and do it for you
